Accounting Centre Research Series (ACARS)

The Accounting Centre Research Series (ACARS) is an international refereed journal, published once a year by the Accounting Centre of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Accountancy, Universiti Malaysia Sabah, Malaysia. Its aim is to publish scholarly research on accounting related issues which are relevant to Bornean Region specifically, Malaysia and the Asian generally, especially those providing practical implications to promote better business decision making and public policy formulation.

The journal covers a broad spectrum of accounting areas and its sub-areas. A suggestive list of areas include, but not limited to the followings:

(1) Financial Accounting and Reporting,

(2) Management Accounting,

(3) Accounting Information Systems 

(4) Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence

(5) Auditing,

(6) Corporate Governance and Ethics

(7) Islamic Accounting,

(8) Accounting, Law and Society

(9) Public Sector Accounting, Others: banking, business strategy, entrepreneurship, finance and investments, 

(10) Taxation

(11) Business Management (i.e.:  Human resource management, information management, innovation and technology management, international business management, marketing management, operations and production management, organisational behaviour, strategic management.
